“If it wasn’t for the support of my parents, who supported my decision to enroll in a mental health program with Pace, I might be facing a different future. Instead, I will graduate as the valedictorian of my high school class, and I am headed to Howard University, with a scholarship from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Gates Scholarship.
The mental health support I received made me confident enough to know that I can change the vision of the future for the next generation of young people in my community. I sought help and received it, but many youths in under-resourced communities don’t even know they need to seek help, let alone have a place to find it.”
