As we enter this season of giving, we’re filled with gratitude — for our dedicated team, the families we serve, and compassionate supporters like you who make every success story possible.
At Pace, every girl’s journey is unique. For Mileigh, that journey meant rediscovering her confidence and finding the support she needed to achieve her goals.
“When I came to Pace, I was very lost. I wasn’t attending school, I was dealing with a lot of anxiety, and I wasn’t surrounding myself with the best people. Even so, I didn’t want to leave my zoned school and was pretty stressed about coming to Pace.
But Pace helped me get on the right path in life. Without it, I don’t know where I would be. Thanks to the staff and year-round classes, I got the support I needed to achieve my two biggest accomplishments: passing the Algebra EOC (after taking it multiple times) and staying motivated to finish high school a year early.
Now I’m enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program at Marchman Technical College, where I received the Academic Achievement Award, and I’m working full-time at a private preschool academy. I’ve become more of a leader and mentor. And now, even though things get hard, or I sometimes feel like I want to give up, I remember how far I’ve come and just imagine what life is going to be like in a couple of years. I KNOW I’m going to make it.”
