A natural role model and leader among her peers, Dekoda is now preparing for her next chapter after graduating from high school: joining the U.S. Navy and pursuing her dream of becoming a welder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When asked how Pace helped her face life\u2019s challenges, Dekoda shared:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cI\u2019ve learned that I can accomplish my goals and get through anything if I put my mind to it. I know I\u2019m tough as nails\u2014and I\u2019m in charge of my life.
