Maryam serves on Pace’s National Board of Trustees and has a longstanding history of providing direct support to Pace girls. She has been instrumental in providing girls with the necessary tools to obtain a high school diploma or GED, long term employability skills and support pursuing an education past high school.

I am proud to say I will graduate as the valedictorian of my high school class, and I am headed to Howard University with a scholarship from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Gates Scholarship. But if it wasn’t for my parents who supported my decision to enroll in a mental health program at Pace Center for Girls, I might be facing a different future.
