About Pace Manatee

Pace Center for Girls Manatee, located in Bradenton, Florida, opened in 1989. Since that time, Pace Manatee has served more than 1,500 girls in Manatee County by providing holistic social, academic, and career-building services.

Kylie's Story

"My name is Kylie and I am a proud Pace girl. I was 14 when I started at Pace but really, I was the only grown-up in my family. Being in the foster care system and having the responsibility of raising my 5 siblings, school could never be a priority for me. At Pace, I could just come to school and be me. My counselor helped me understand the importance of school and made sure that I showed up for myself. I’m proud to say that I’m the first person in my family with a High School Diploma and working to pursue a nursing degree!"
