In addition to our PACE goals we also have accountability to the Escambia County School district, the Department of Education and the Department of Juvenile Justice. Once a year in conjunction with the Escambia County School District and their Department of alternative Education we create a School Improvement Plan.
We are excited to announce to our PACE family and friends the outcome of our 2008-2009 School Improvement Plan goals written with the Escambia County School District.
Our goal of increasing our girls Reading, Writing, and Math BASI scores 1 standard score from pre test to post test was well surpassed with Reading gains of 4.04 points, math 2.73 points and Writing 2.0.
To help get them ready for their science FCAT assessments, eighth and eleventh grade students participated in FCAT Explorer practice on a weekly basis.
Family Night is held on the first Tuesday of every month from 5:00pm until 6:30. Our goal to increase parent involvement was met. We shared excitement and stories of success with an average of 13 families per month attending.
Thanks to our skilled and caring staffs hard work we maintained our JJEEP (Juvenile Justice Enhancement Program) quality assurance status of Exemplary.
Of course our number one goal is to meet our PACE mission; to provide each girl an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training and advocacy and the joy and elation experienced in meeting this goal is immeasurable. Thank you for your support in doing so.
