PACE Center for Girls Leon is located in Tallahassee and serves 60 girls from Leon County every day.  We were founded in 1994 by a committed and dynamic group of people, many of whom are still involved with the center.  Since opening we have served over 1,000 girls. The Center is located at 1344 Cross Creek Circle which is off of Apalachee Parkway just west of Capital Circle SE.

PACE Leon is one of 18 centers across Florida.  For more information on our statewide organization, click here.  For more information about PACE Leon click here .

community blanketPACE Leon is proud to announce the return of monthly family nights to the center. Each month on the last Tuesday, we will have family night. It is open to all PACE girls and their family to come and share ideas or have fun. We started family night in August, it was held in association with Open House. Families enjoyed a lite dinner and then met with teachers. The teachers reviewed policies and procedures. They also reviewed course outlines and grading policies. In September, we hosted our Extracurricular Showcase highlighting the after school clubs we offer to the girls. At both nights we added to our comm-UNITY blanket, an art project that involves the entire family! Our next Family Night will be October 28th, 5:30-6:30. The topic is Bullying. Ms. Kelly Parker will make a presentation for parents. We hope to see you there, as we have a special seasonal treat in store!

PACE girls recieve many gifts from our community.  Everyone at Leon is vey appreciative for the donations we receive.  Part of living the PACE principals is to return gratitude to the community that gives so much by participating in service projects.  All the girls belong to a sister circle that meets once a week to work on or plan survice projects.  Recent projects have included a car wash with proceeds going to Big Bend Red Cross, pet food drive for Last Hope Rescue and collecting pennies for Sickle Cell Foundation.

PACE girls show personal growth given the opportunity to help someone. They also thrive when given a responsibility for a cause they feel is important. Helping others makes everyone feel good! Right?
