Love That Dress! is the ultimate feel-good girls night out shopping spree of the year benefiting PACE Center for Girls-Lee. This year, Lee County is celebrating its 6th year of providing high fashion at reasonable costs to all the fashionistas in the southwest Florida area.
This year’s event will take place on Wednesday, August 27th, 2014, 5-9pm at The Embassy Suites in Estero.
An estimated 800 fashionistas (and a few brave men) will stake their claim on thousands of new and gently worn dresses and accessories selling for nominal prices. Guests will also enjoy the event’s popular silent auction, camaraderie, and cocktails. Major sponsors will have access to the VIP shopping offering private dressing rooms, clothing hold, express check-out service, complimentary adult beverages and hors d’oeuvres and a private selection of decadent chocolates. In addition, White House Black Market is again the Title Sponsor, offering new dresses, accessories, shoes and handbags at unbelievable bargain prices.

Did you know that PACE's biggest fundraiser is Love That Dress!? This year was the 5th anniversary and with a turnout like there has never been before, raising $135,000! Over 800 guests celebrated PACE at the Embassy Suites in Estero on Wednesday, August 28th. Ladies shopped through 3,500 discounted dresses, shoes and accessories! Both the ladies and the brave men enjoyed some amazing deals at the silent auction tables as well as chocolate fountains, amazing hors d’oeurves, drinks and music! This year, the fourteen original Love That Dress! founders were recognized on stage and presented with an award.
The morning after Love That Dress!, the PACE girls joined us at the Embassy to shop for 10 items for free! What a great close to a phenomenal event!
On Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Estero (10450 Corkscrew Commons Drive), guests will be able to stake their claim on thousands of deeply discounted new and gently worn dresses and accessories, bid in the lavish silent auctions, and enjoy camaraderie and cocktails with friends. Tickets go on sale August 1, 2015.

Donations of new or gently worn dresses are accepted at collection parties leading up to the main event. In August, several drop-off locations throughout Lee County will also be receiving dresses. All kinds of dresses are suitable from sundresses, to formal gowns to bridal! For the latest details, follow Love That Dress! on Facebook.
Donations of specialty goods or valuable gift cards for products and services are also needed for the silent auction. Examples include jewelry, hotel stays, beauty baskets and gift cards for cosmetic services, retailers and restaurants. Items favorable to women are preferred. Anyone can host a dress collection party to spread the word, collect dresses and raise funds for PACE. Collection parties are organized by the host, yet PACE may be able to assist with guidance, volunteer support and spreading the word. A “Best Practices Guide” is available for individuals or companies interested in throwing a LTD! pre-party. To shop and participate at the big event, tickets for Love That Dress! will go on sale on August 1, 2014. General admission tickets are $30 per person and are based on availability. In the meantime, visit HopeChest Resale Store in North Fort Myers to shop last year's remaining inventory.

Nearly 800 guests in search of bargain priced dresses and a fun time attended the fourth installment of Love That Dress! on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Estero. Co-chaired by Amy Sanford and Kendra Sutton and presented by title sponsor White House Black Market, the event offered over 3,000 new and gently worn dresses, hundreds of designer shoes and a lavish silent auction helping to raise over $103,000 for PACE Center for Girls of Lee County. From the total raised, $3,400 will be allocated to PACE Lee’s capital campaign fund to open a new Center in the coming years.
Dresses still hanging after the event were offered to the PACE girls free of charge. Gushing about trying on her five new dresses, Flydencia, 15, said “I felt beautiful and famous!”
Remaining inventory will be available for sale throughout the year at Hope Chest Resale Store at 13821 North Cleveland Avenue in North Fort Myers with proceeds being shared between PACE and Hope Hospice.
