April 25, 2014 was a gorgeous day for our 15th Annual Mary Wise Scramble Presented by Northwestern Mutual. This year's tournament, as always was full of fun, excitement and a wonderful feeling of camaraderie. It is always great to have Mary Wise participating in the full days event and riding around in the golf cart mingling with everyone. We would like to thank everyone who participated by either being a sponsor, player, volunteer or donating items for the tournament including donations for the silent auction. Please be sure to SAVE THE DATE for next year..... Friday April 24, 2015
We were honored and proud to be a part of the 5th Annual Taste of Gainesville event that was held June 1, 2014 at the UF Hilton. This event was sponsored by HOME Magazine with Bailey Estates and The Barn at Rembert Farms being the Title Sponsors with many other fabulous sponsorships. The competition for the Iron Chef was tough competition between Taylor Dukes from Great Outdoors, Defending Champion Ray Leung from Dragonfly and Valero Alises fro Sabore. Congratulations to Valero Alises for winning the Iron Chef. All of the food samplings and beverages provided by over 40 of the best of Central Florida restaurants were delicious. And the food was so plentiful. We had more than 300 great auction items! Thanks to everyone that participated in this signature event. Whether you helped in a small way or large way, your participation is greatly appreciated. This year's event was the most successful to date. $75,000 was raised for PACE Center for Girls of Alachua, Tyler's Hope for a Dystonia Cure, and The Child Advocacy Center. Each organization will receive $25,000 Thank you!!

March 12-13 were PACE Legislative Days in Tallahassee. PACE Centers statewide were there to lobby for funding for eduction for our girls. PACE Alachua took 4 girls and were able to meet with everyone from our delegation: Senator Rob Bradley, Representatives Keith Perry, Elizabeth Porter and Clovis Watson Jr. We were fortunate this year to get a special tour of the House Chamber by Representative Matt Hudson and a tour of the Senate Chamber by Senator Bradley. This opportunity allowed PACE girls and staff to have a voice in the decision making process during session. This was a great educational experience for the girls to learn about the House, Senate, Capitol and the Legislature. This was a fabulous trip.
Saved By Grace Celebration Service took place on September 5, 2014 at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church. PACE Center for Girls would like to thank everyone from the community who participated in the fabulous worship celebration. It was filled with joyouos songs and a testimony from our own PACE girl. We also want to thank Ms. Desom Duncan-Walker for delivering the message of the evening. If you are interested in becoming a partner or learning more about this celebration please contact us at the center. Our committee members are working hard to make this another successful event next year!
