PACE Center for Girls Broward was recently given the unique opportunity to showcase its mission to the community while also having a chance to raise funds. Over 350 guests were invited to attend a complimentary pre-opening luncheon and dinner at J. Mark's new location in Fort Lauderdale.

From April to June a group of volunteers representing the Broward County Women Lawyers' Association (BCWLA) took time out of their busy morning schedules to help the girls of PACE Broward's middle school class practice their reading and comprehension skills. This year's book selection was Stargirl by Jerry Spinell. This novel is about a free-spirited girl named Susan "Stargirl" Caraway, whose behavior is unusual for a teen at Mica Area High School, which prizes student conformity above all else.

The City of Wilton Manors’ Mayor and City Commission presented a proclamation to PACE Broward at the June 22 City Commission Meeting. The proclamation congratulated the organization on 18 years of serving at-risk girls in Broward County and named July 1, 2010, as “PACE Broward Center For Girls Day” in Wilton Manors.
