Teacher/Advisor – Spirited Girls!

Position Summary (not all inclusive) : Teaches gender specific curriculum that focuses on the developmental needs of girls, communication, life and vocational skills, diversity and spirituality. Works in a team with counselors and teacher/advisors. Participates in a weekly case review and staff meeting.

Required education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in education, psychology or a related field and has a current Florida teaching certificate or certificate eligible preferred. Knowledge and understanding of current issues facing adolescent girls.

Required experience and competencies:

Working with at risk youth in an alternative education setting is preferred.

Personal Skills:

Ability to manager multiple priorities. Detail oriented. Enjoys teamwork and contributing to the success of the treatment care team. Applicant must be energetic, creative and motivated to interact with adolescents in a group setting.
