Special Projects Coordinator
Position Summary: Provides support
to the Executive Director regarding special projects that include administrative,
program and community responsibilities.
Responsibilities (not all
inclusive):
- Coordinates volunteer training schedules; trains volunteers on
duties within program.
- Educates staff on special events and their roles and responsibilities
within event.
- Networks with community resources to obtain quality services.
- Establishes positive relationships with outside agencies and make
available all resources.
- Manages existing resources to minimize cost wherever possible;
adheres to established budget guidelines.
- Compiles data and creates reports for contract compliance.
- Creates partnerships to maximize monetary potential by incorporating
volunteers, donations, etc.
- Monitors information technology system within PACE; maintains computer
network database and make updates as appropriate; trains staff on
any updates or changes.
- Provides technical support for funding proposals; assists with
the direct mail campaign for the center.
- Makes arrangements for board meetings, luncheons and other functions.
- Prepares meeting agendas for the Executive Director or State Office
staff.
- Assists with the composition of external correspondence for Executive
Director.
- Provides clerical support for Executive Director.
Education and/or Experience
and Technical Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or
university. Major in Business Administration, Social Services, Education,
or a related field or equivalent experience required; minimum of two
years experience in the execution of special events required; experience
in the development and completion of a project required; minimum experience
using basic office equipment, personal computers and desktop publishing,
required; minimum six months experience in a youth serving program
preferred; Florida driver’s license required.
