Position Title: Payroll
Accounting Associate – State Office
Position location: Jacksonville, FL
Reporting Relationship: Benefits Manager
Position Summary: The primary responsibility is
assist the Payroll and Benefits Manager with providing superior payroll
and benefits services to centers and employees.
Responsibilities:
Provides accurate and timely payroll and benefits services to centers
and state office employees; processes new hire and terminations packets;
maintains data system; ensures confidentiality; replies in a courteous
and timely manner to requests for information; processes background
screening, 3-Day and 21-Day Packets.
Processes vendor invoices accurately and timely; assists with processing
annual benefit renewals; assists in employee benefits enrollment to
ensure smooth and well-communicated process and maintain and controls
benefits filing systems to ensure accuracy of all documentation in
files.
Assists the Benefits manager to ensure accurate and timely financial
reporting by the accurate and timely preparation of general ledger
and account reconciliation for review by Benefits Manager; provides
assistance with annual reporting to ensure legal compliance with regulatory
and taxing agencies by assisting with completing census reporting,
annual audit schedules, Form 990 and Form 5500.
Education and/or Experience and Technical Skills: Associates
Degree and payroll/ benefits knowledge preferred: minimum three years
relevant experience required. Knowledge of Wage and Hour Law, preferred.
Strong computer, analytical and communication skills required. Ability
to work independently, multi task and develop and maintain effective
professional relationships with all constituencies is necessary. Office
98 and/or 2000 required.
